Kito & Reija Lee, two long time friends hailing from the most isolated city in the world, (Perth, Australia) started their collaboration back in 2009. With Kito’s pop infused production and Reija’s strong yet sometimes ethereal vocals, the marriage of their styles seemed like a natural choice.
Drawing inspiration from the vast selection of music that has sound tracked their loves, lusts and rebellions, names ranging from Kate Bush to Daft Punk to M83 have all played their part in defining so much of what Kito & Reija Lee are all about.
After starting their collaboration in Australia and receiving worldwide recognition of their first releases, the girls made the 10,000 mile journey to London, where they live now, to pursue their career and develop their own unique sound.
Their first release came in the form of the game changing “LFO” that was released on Skream’s Disfigured Dubz imprint. They then released the epic Sweet Talk EP on Diplo’s Mad Decent, with the lead track ‘Sweet Talk’ sitting at number 2 on the beatport dubstep chart for a number of weeks.
Sweet Talk is now being used on the Victoria’s Secret 2013 Spring Summer commercial. To coincide with this it will be re-released as a stand alone single in June 2013. Kito & Reija are currently locked away in a studio in London writing their debut album.
