Straddling a bass heavy club sound that also encompasses leftfield rock music and global beats, Sinden is renowned for his genre-blending DJ sets, cracklin’ hot radio show, his banging remixes, a hugely successful project alongside Hervé - ‘The Count and Sinden’ and more recently for his forward thinking label Grizzly.
His DJ career sees him criss-crossing the globe turning clubs on their heads with his fresh, eclectic sound, and throwing the Count & Sinden’s Mega Warehouse parties in the UK. He recently began a column in the UK’s DJ magazine, and he’s also known for his lauded show groundbreaking UK radio station Kiss FM. Sinden’s show on Kiss was the first of its kind to host an eclectic selection of music that includes Funk Carioca, Baltimore Club, Kuduro, Juke House, Southern Hip Hop, Dancehall, House/Electro and much much more. Launching his own record label Grizzly in the early part of 2010, Sinden has brought you huge releases from some of the biggest players in the game with the likes of SBTRKT, Brodinski, Felix Jaxx, Melé and Brenmar all releasing
tracks on the label.
Having the radio show and record label keeps Sinden one step ahead of the game when it comes to finding new music, and he brings this taste-making approach to his productions. Sinden began making his own music around the time he forged a friendship with Dave "Switch" Taylor and was taken under his wing to learn the production game. Together they began to create progressive hip-hop, dancehall beats and other unclassifiable rhythms.
Testing the water with his remixes of other artists has led to an impressive, diverse reel which includes mixes of Miike Snow, Robbie Williams, Basement Jaxx, Bjork, Mujava, Armand van Helden and Mark Ronson, to name a few.
His production technique has further evolved in his collaboration with Joshua Harvey, aka The Count (aka Herve), on their project The Count & Sinden. Their debut album MEGA MEGA MEGA, which included the brilliant ‘After Dark’ (feat. Mystery Jets) saw the duo build on their earlier success from singles like ‘Beeper’, a crossover club smash that topped charts and received supported by a who’s who of top international DJs and producers.
A busy start to 2011 saw Sinden perfecting his live show with a relentless touring schedule throughout North American and Europe, and somewhere on the road Sinden managed to conjure up some of his own ear-popping
productions due out later this year. Relocating to Los Angeles in recent months, Sinden has reunited with Dave ‘Switch’ Taylor to collaborate on some huge new productions, before hitting the road again for a string of shows
around Asia and Australia!
