In Memphis with Bosco Part Deux

Being here in Memphis is an awesome alternate reality for me. Every day Bosco and Bunny wake me up to Terry Riley's "A Rainbow in Curved Air"

One day we heard that there was going to be some rap show at the local shop so we went, we weren't sure who it was but when we got there we found out it was Eightball and MJG!!!!!  While we waited, Bosco did some guitar shopping, i'm really hope he makes the investment on the Guitar for Dummies Starter Pack.

Anyways, we waited around only to find out they weren't going to perform, i was bummed but atleast i got a nice video drop from 8-Ball

After meeting with 8ball we went for some goat stew at this awesome ethiopian restaurant.  Everything was perfect, nice service, great food, pictures of King Selassie I all over the place.  The only thing weird was that this old lady that was taking a nap behind me the whole time.

From there we went around town a little more and came up on this band playing on the stoop of a record shop.  Apparently it was this guy and his wife, we just caught the last song "Tranny Granny" which was yeah, about the dudes transvestite granny/grammpy.

Later that night I seen that guy bartending at the local spot, it wasn't a strange this running into people on a few occasions.  Some guy actually came up to me once and was asking me about Canada and I was like how did you know I was from Canada.  He told me that he heard a Canadian was in town and that he didnt recognise me, thats awesome!  Since i moved to L.A. I been trying to watch a Neil Hamburger Show but have always missed them, but here I got the chance to see him, he went off for 20 minutes about Anthony Keidis for some reason? He also accused me of being a doctor because he thought that my flipcam was a beeper.

So the rest of the trip was rad, we worked on a ton of tracks, Bosco got to lay down proper vintage instruments on all his tracks.

On my final day there Jasper the Mad Decent label manager dropped by with his wife Leejone on their way driving cross country.  We had beers hung out with the drummer and guitarist from Wavves and watched soft porn on the bar TV.  And later in the night as a nice goodbye present this kind soul rapped me my favorite Bone Thugs song.

So get ready for Bosco's LP dropping in a few short months but in the meantime you can grab his first 7inch "Wild Ones/ Evil Lives here, there's also another follow up 7" dropping in a few weeks!!!!!!

I cant believe youre not more popular because you definitely have the gift.
