Coming off this spring’s Dope Boy Magick album, PO PO’s leader Jahan Zeb Malik is working on this new solo project for Mad Decent & Jeffrees. We’re putting out this Tom Petty cover as a first taste of his more refined sound – DNT COME AROUND HERE takes the rough psychedelic edges that were all over DBM and blends them with some kind of gunshot trap version of a Tom Petty rhythm section plus sitar. The sound is one of Jahan’s crispest to date and a clear window on things to come.
