Mad Decent

I finally got out of bed after the Parklife tour in Australia which featured Mad Decenteers Diplo and Boy 8 Bit alongside homies Fake Blood, Jesse Rose, XXXchange, Soulwax and half the internet. Over 2 weeks the tour visited Adelaide, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane & Sydney, in between the dates we managed to squeeze in a few Heaps Decent workshops at Redfern Community Centre & Key College with Diplo & Boy 8 Bit, plus get monumentally spannered at every spare moment. Once I find my camera cable I’ll upload pics and video of all the shows and workshops, I’ve also got a live mix Diplo did on Ro Sham Bo / FBi Radio that I’ll put up soon.

Thanks to Fuzzy for putting together one of the most relevant dance line ups we’ve ever seen at a festival in a long ass time, plus one of the best organized festivals! More importantly, massive thanks need to go to Fuzzy for donating all profit generated by industry tickets to Heaps Decent. We haven’t been given the final figure yet but it’s much bigger than any donation we’ve ever received. This money will go towards a permanent Heaps Decent studio where we will host regular workshops, lessons and classes for underprivileged youth in Sydney. We even plan to employ the kids we’ve worked with so far to help us run the studio! We are truly grateful to everyone at Fuzzy for providing Heaps Decent with the resources to go on to bigger and better things. WE LOVE Y’ALL.
