Yo, i feel bad for these doods, they have one of the softest names in the Animal Kingdom plus they look like a bad mashup because it’s pink shell and white fur are so wack.
They are pretty cool though with the ability to bury itself completely in a matter of seconds if frightened and it’s can also “sand swim” meaning they use large front claws to agitate the sand, allowing them to almost swim.
It’s shell is attached to the backbone and covers the top of the armadillo’s head. The shell extends on the back but doesn’t cover the armadillo’s rear. They cannot move their tail up and down, so the tail drags on the ground.
I couldn’t find any proper videos of it on youtube or Arkive just this one of it running around all scared, so there’s also one of my favorite emo neo psychedlic tracks attached.
