TOP 10 BEST OF SXSW 2009:
We’re going to keep it real short and sweet, feel free to chime in…
1. Bun B: He’s the king, he owns everyone. Winston Churchill of hip hop.
2. Rolo Tomassi: These dudes are from Sheffield, UK. According to Wikipedia they are Spazzcore but Wikipedia is wrong and so are you if you missed them.
3. Blaqstarr: He’s the best, Blaqstarr for Mayor of Earth.
4. Suicidal Tattoo: Whoever you are, we love you
5. Metallica: Reminding everyone that indie rockers are pussies and that they have their own video game, Basquiat’s, ranches, jets, etc etc rich people stuff.
6. Stubbs: Proving that you are stupid for caring about animals feelings
7. Celtic Punjabi Electronica: We missed this band but saw a little report about them. Having not heard any of this bands music we commend them for inventing a genre blending Kilts, Malwai, and Ecstasy.
8. Wavves: Because we’re followers
9. Bo-Peep: All girl, Japanese power punk trio. Their bassist name is TAKE and she is like a ninja assassin Mike Watt style bass player.
10. Nick Catchdubs: He’s the other half the label Fools Gold (aka our mortal enemies). He also takes off his shirt, gets wasted, and really likes Nirvana. We’re funding his line of snack foods: CATCHNUTZ
HONORABLE MENTIONS:
1. Twitter: The best useless use of time and technology ever
2. StreetCarnage Party: We missed it but it was probably better than anything YOU did in Austin…Vivian Girls, Izza Kizza, Ninjasonik, shit fool!
