2011 has been a huge year for Schlachthofbronx releasing the Mad Decent EP Nasty Bass gaining support from the likes of Toddla T, Diplo,Sinden, Congrorock, just to name a few and getting national radio coverage in Germany, Portugal, Sweden, Austria, and the USA. Things are only looking up with 5 brand new remixes of their huge club track
Samim (of “Heater” fame) starts off the remix EP with a deep latin house cut highlighting the trumpet section of the original and bringing out previously unheard vocal elements. Smutlee then takes the track into moombahton territory, while Solo adds a string section and cuts the breakdown into a halftime clap. Mad Decent’s own Toy Selectah keeps the cumbia at the forefront with the slow grind of the shaker slowly transforming into almost DnB territory. Poirier ends the EP with a barrage of horn blasts over a soca beat. Each artist adds their own twist to what made the Shlachthofbronx original such a success.
