Album Info

While Partysquad may not be a household name in the US, these guys are positively massive in their home country of the Netherlands. Combining big electronic sounds with hip hop lyrics and beatmaker sensibilities, they’ve had at least 5 tracks reach the top 20 of the pop charts, they’ve won multiple Urban Awards (formerly MOBO) and they wreck parties all over the continent. For this release, they wanted to get back to their underground party break roots and have given us four serious bangers! “Pull Up” and “Murderer” draw heavily on Jamaican influence and are easy additions for anybody currently playing stuff from Major Lazer. “Murderer” freaks out the Barrington Levy track of the same name, and “Pull Up” features an infectious chant that drives the crowds absolutely nuts! Check any Diplo and/or Major Lazer sets in the past few months for the proof – both of those tracks have been killing it. On the flipside, “Crazy Funky Style” and “Rage” put the Partysquad touch on the enormous Dutch club sound that’s been running clubs all over Europe for the last couple years. In the best Hollertronix tradition, this release is pure quality for the club DJ and those that love them.

Originally released on Dec 15, 2009.
