Featuring Mavado

MAD-143

Album Info

“Rumble In The Jungle” is to say the least, a tropical monster. Starting with a playful tribal drum beat that percolates through the entire track, you are soon met by an intensifying wave of excitement that drops into a pool of beastly baselines and ripping synths. Like the best of their live sets, this track lands in some undefinable place between genres. Doesn’t matter what you call it, “Rumble” bangs.
Mavado has been a force in Jamaican dancehall for years now, locking big hits like “Delilah”, “Dying” and “Im So Special”, so it’s a huge deal to get him on this dubstep version of “Undah Yuh Skirt.” ZEDS follow the Jamaican lead for a while with a dancehall-style riddim and Mavado’s deep-seated rhymes, then bust it up with a monstrous jungle breakdown of bowel shaking bass. With a stockpile of originals and remixes set to be released in 2011, ZEDS DEAD show no signs of slowing down.
